It is just what it sounds like: a tutorial region where you will need to complete several tasks before the rest of the internet world opens to you. Once you're out of Rookieville, you'll pick one of four Affiliations to combine: North, South, East and West. Each faction calls another borough of The City their home also has its own mayor.
Visual Concepts will handpick the game's first mayors in the NBA2K community to serve a first term. Then, each Affiliation will vote for their agent via an in-game survey -- in case you haven't had your fill of elections in the previous week. Each term lasts six weeks, and as a mayor, you'll have the capacity to define your faction's visual identity.
